Dominic Koch is a Swiss multidisciplinary artist and florist based in Zürich. His practice moves between floral art, sculpture, collecting, and installation.
His work reflects on nature, memory, preservation, and transformation. Working with flowers, plants, branches, seeds, insects, and found objects, Koch is interested in the ways materials change over time and in what happens when fragile or overlooked things are given a new context.
For him, arranging is both a physical and intuitive process - a dialogue between hand, material, and memory. Each composition becomes a way of bringing different elements together: the living and the preserved, the organic and the constructed, beauty and decay.
Through collecting, arranging, drying, and preserving, Koch creates works that exist somewhere between floral composition, sculpture, and personal archive.
